#SHOW YOUR COLORS
True stories from true characters
Tinus
Tinus is the epitome of color. As Denmark’s leading drag queen, he ingeniously expresses himself through art and creation in his sparkling universe of burlesque and cabaret-inspired shows.
Tinus was a creative prodigy from an early age. In fact, he crocheted his first wig when he was only 10 years old, and today designs and sews all his costumes, wigs, and headgear himself. The same goes for his rhinestone-bedazzled MATE which poses as an elegant, timeless extension of his personality.
“If I were to describe my personality, it would be respectfully colorful. I don’t wanna piss anyone off, but I really want anything else than grey. Colors, feathers, rhinestones, and glitter – this is my mainstream.”

Beneath the glitter
Tinus’ dazzling collection of costumes, shows, and grand cabarets tell a sparkling success story. But beneath the rhinestone-covered world is also the story of a boy who was seeking parental approval, without ever getting it.
“I have lost my whole family. So the feeling of someone being proud of you is very important to me. Since I cannot get that from my family, going on stage and getting applause gives me that little pleasure. It feels like I get a little percentage of what it would feel like if my mother said; I am proud of you.”

Pride: every day, for everyone
“Pride should not be seen as a demonstration or a provocation of any kind. It’s simply a picture of how colorful the world actually is when you scratch a little of its grey surface”
Tinus publicly displayed his exclusive MATE with matching costumes and choreographies at the Drag Night Show during WorldPride, Copenhagen 2021. Needless to say, he stole the show!
“I feel it’s important for everyone to express themselves all year round – not just at Pride. But for some, it’s easier to relax into their true colors when more people are doing it at the same time. Hopefully, Pride will give courage to those taking part, so they dare to be themselves every day.”
