Sikkerhedsstyrelsen påbudt os at tilbagekalde alle MATE X 750 W fra det DANSKE MARKED, da køretøjet ikke overholder reglerne på området, og potentielt udgør en fare eller ulempe i trafikken. 

Som en del af tilbagekaldelsen ændrer vi de pågældende cykler ved at udskifte motoren med en 250 Watt motor, fjerne gashåndtaget og udskifte controller og display. Efter ændringen vil cyklen yde pedal assist op til 25 km/t og vil dermed lovligt kunne køres på offentlig vej i Danmark. 

Ændringen er naturligvis gratis og vil tage cirka et par timer.

The Danish Safety Authority have ordered MATE to recall all MATE X 750W bikes from the Danish market, as the vehicle does not comply with applicable regulations, and potentially poses a danger.

As part of the recall, MATE is altering all 750W bikes in question by replacing the motor with a 250W motor, removing the throttle, and replacing the controller and display. After the modification, the bike will provide pedal assist up to 25 km/h and will thus be legal to ride on public roads in Denmark. The alteration is free of charge and will take a couple of hours.

As part of the recall, we are also offering customers a free Traveller Bike Service Plan package worth 1000 dkk, which they can have done at our workshop in connection with the alteration on their bike. To see what is included in the Traveller Service Plan package, click here.

Customers need to fill in the form here with information relating to their bike and what needs making legal. Based on this form, our Customer Service team will contact customers directly to book an appointment at our workshop.
