MATE.Bike Strengthens Foundation and Delivers on Strategy
With a profit of 118 tEUR, strengthened leadership team and successful product launches, MATE.Bike accelerates into 2025 with global momentum.

The 2024 annual reports show a profit of 118 tEUR (878 tDKK) and equity of 2.2 mEUR (16.5 mDKK), marking a year of renewed focus, stability, and solid execution. Backed by a strengthened leadership team and an increasingly international outlook, the Danish e-bike company enters 2025 with speed and purpose.
“We’re walking the talk,” says CEO Janus Christian Fjeldborg. “We’ve proven we can run a healthy business while delivering bikes that combine quality, style, and performance. In 2024, we focused on building long-term strength – and delivering results, not just internally, but by launching new products and entering new markets. 2025 is about building on that momentum and continuing our global expansion.”
The MATE Made Simple strategy continues to drive operational improvements, with a sharper focus on business-to-business partnerships and more agile execution. To support the next phase of growth and development, the leadership team now includes Nina Schwartz (COO), Anders Møldrup (CFO), Rogelio Fernandez (CSO), and Janus Christian Fjeldborg (CEO).
“We’ve built a leadership team that reflects where we’re going,” Janus adds. “With stronger competencies across sales, operations, and finance, we’re positioned to keep growing responsibly.”
On the product side, 2024 saw the launch of three models: the upgraded MATE X EVO, the rugged MATE Fusion, and the playful MATE Mini. In early 2025, the GO series launched with major success in Japan, while European launch is later this year.

MATE.Bike also made its debut at a professional bicycle fair in 2024 and will appear at several key events in 2025 — next up: Pro Days in Paris, July 6–8. With increased visibility and a growing global rider base, we continue to expand our role in the cycling industry and the micromobility movement.
We are deeply grateful to our customers and community around the world for their continued trust and support — from loyal riders to new markets that are now officially part of the MATE story. In 2024, Turkey and Argentina proudly became MATE countries, with more regions soon to follow. As part of our strategy, we are actively expanding across Europe and Asia-Pacific bringing MATE to more riders and communities than ever before.
As always – Hello from Copenhagen.
